What Are You Measuring Your Life By?

‘The ego lives by comparisons.’ A Course in Miracles

I love my posts because I need to read them myself.

We all tend to measure our lives by something. That can be a problem if we then kick ourselves because we don’t measure up. Comparison of course can be healthy, such as when we feel inspired to better ourselves but often this strategy can become very distorted.

Men can often measure their life by job status, money in the bank, salary level and muscularity. Women can do it by their dress size or of course many other factors.

Have a think about what you are measuring your life by and how it makes you feel. Are you inspired or depressed when you do it and is there anything you think you could change?
