Who Do You Love?

Who Do You Love?

We all face hard times and challenges. Here are three very powerful questions you could ask yourself to help you beging to feel much better about yourself and yoru situation:1. Who do I love? Who do you love unconditionally? Do you have children or a special friend? When you focus on others your own dramas seemd to fade into insignificance. 2. Who loves me? Everybody is loved by at least one person so write that persons name and know that you are loved. 3. What do I have in my life to be grateful for? Grattitude has a massive energy field. If...

What Are You Measuring Your Life By?

‘The ego lives by comparisons.’ A Course in Miracles I love my posts because I need to read them myself. We all tend to measure our lives by something. That can be a problem if we then kick ourselves because we don’t measure up. Comparison of course can be healthy, such as when we feel inspired to better ourselves but often this strategy can become very distorted. Men can often measure their life by job status, money in the bank, salary level and muscularity. Women can do it by their dress size or of course many other...

Is Suffering Necessary?

I caught myself complaining yesterday. I then realised that I had been complaining about the same thing for several days. I would find myself thinking about a business problem I’m working on and repeating the same words out of my mouth to my wife. I then picked up a wonderful book called ‘The Road Less Travelled’ by M Scott Peck. Here is what I realised. Problems are a part of life and if it wasn’t for them we would have no depth of character. When our friends or family turn to us in times of need, what words of advice...

Overcoming Obstacles

Overcoming Obstacles

Anything worth achieving will come with a price tag. Getting whatever you want is fairly simple on paper – work out what you want, work out the price you have to pay to get it and then pay that price. I set a fat loss goal a few weeks back and immediately fell ill. I got better and then injured my back right after that. The joke goes, if you want to make God laugh, then tell Him your plans. Getting the 7 People book ready to sell was often a nightmare. Pretty much everything I needed to get done had problems: Web designer...

Who Says You Can’t?

Who Says You Can’t?

I’m moving to Australia soon. Not quite sure of the exact location but it will be: Short walk to the beach Near to coffee shops Short walk/jog to the gym I will have a nice big house with a pool in the garden, eat breakfast outside each day and probably have a BBQ most evenings. I wonder where you would like to be living and how you would like your days to be? I ask because most people never stop to consider what they really want. If they do get that far, they then often stop themselves by saying ‘It could never happen.’...

What Are You Measuring Your Life By?

Bad news time. There will always be somebody better than you at something. We can often look at other people’s achievements and find ourselves falling short. Other people will be able to make more money than we can at the moment, they will be taller, fitter, faster or simply able to do stuff that we can’t (such as go into space). We can look at other people and use it in two ways: Beat ourselves up Be inspired by them I run my business, do boxing, write books, and eat healthily but there are so many people who can do it better...

The Secret to Everlasting Motivation

The Secret to Everlasting Motivation

Would you like to tap into a never ending-source of motivation? The answer is pretty simple, actually – do what you love. Every day I’m working on Internet projects, writing, training and reading. I love to do all of them and I would probably do them all for free in fact. If you are lacking motivation, then look at what you are doing and ask yourself if you love it. If you find out what your passion is, then you can work out how to make a living doing that. It can be done by the way: Jeremy Clarkson makes millions driving...

How to Stay Depressed

Being depressed takes a fair bit of energy so here are a few tips to make the most out of it. If you are going to be depressed you might as well make a good job of it. Eat Junk – You need to eat crap if you intend to stay depressed. Empty calories, such as from white rice and bread, fast food, and alcohol, if possible. The last thing you want to do is eat fresh, home cooked, organic food as that will release endorphins which only make you feel happy. Don’t Exercise – This is a major no-no. Exercise also helps release happy...

Do Some TV Shows Make You Feel Sad?

David R Hawkins is one of the most brilliant spiritual leaders alive today. Seriously, whenever I read his books I feel more enlightened and that can only be a good thing. It doesn’t take a spiritual guru to work out that some things have high energy field and some low. This is true for people, food, music, books and of course TV shows. Hawkins has pioneered a way to measure energy fields using a method called kinesthesiology which simply measures what makes the body go strong or weak. Measuring many shows and movies containing the below...

How to be Happy

How to be Happy

Would you belive that when asked, most people will rate their level of happiness at a measly 5/10 or lower. Mein Gott! Perhaps the main reason is everyone is looking ‘out there’ for their happiness, after all, the latest BMW advert tell us that ‘joy is a BMW’ so clearly no BMW = no joy! How frustrating if you drive a suzuki. Few people actually realise that all the happiness we could ever need is actually inside us, locked away in a compartment with the name ‘Happiness’ on it. It is only let out for brief...
